posted by Ronald Booij | Nov 28, 2011

Case history
3-day-old girl with heminasale aplasia and choanal atresia.

Diagnosis
Heminasale aplasia (right side), without ethmoid cells. The septum is also hypoplastic and is not in the midline. Left side no choanal atresia, but abnormal development (there are hardly no ethmoid cells).

Protocol

Low dose Choan Atresia in 3-day-old girl

Comments

Very young child. Scan was performed without anaesthesia in a vacuum mattress with low pitch and rotation time of 1 second (you will get the z- and alpha sampling)! Low dose and high diagnostic quality.
