posted by Sebastian Leschka, M.D. | Mar 15, 2010

Case history

81-year-old male presented for follow-up exam to indicate convalescence progress. 6 weeks before, he had been delivered for coiling and stent implantation due to ruptured aneurysm. He had complained about pain in the lower abdominal region. A day after the stent implantation a type II endoleakage had appeared. 4 days after, acute bleeding of the urethra was found due to removal of perm. catheter.

Diagnosis

During scan supra-aortic vessels and lymph nodes were shown to be normal. No findings regarding pleural contusion or pneumothorax. Moderately decreased dorso-basal left-sided lung ventilation noted but no lesions detected. Abdomen adequately perfused and right aorta iliaca interna supplied with blood and no indication of endoleak. The known interna aneurysm and arising, cyst-like hematoma were detected.
