Case: Effective Dose Heart Scan

Case history

51-year-old male patient who had suffered from single episode of rypical chest oain afrw days before wa referres ro cadiac CT to rule out significant stenoses of the coronary arteries. History of high cholesterol and a positive family history of cardiovascular disease. Since the patient showed a stable heart rate below 70 bpm,  Adaptive Cardio Sequence mode to assure lowest possible radiation exposure.

Diagnosis

Nitroglycerin prior to CT coronary angiography, scan was performed from the carina to the diaphragm. Bolus of 80 ml contrast media was injected. CT coronary angiography did not reveal any coronary plaques or stenoses.
