Case: Dual energy Gout – Foot
Case history
60 year old male with a history of gout . However patient was not tolerating uric acid lowering medication and thus DECT scan was performed to identify whether the patient was compliant with medications and for the presence of tophi (i.e. disease burden and associated joint destruction).
Diagnosis
DECT scan confirmed extensive disease burden with large tophi and associated joint destruction.
